Pearl Barley,Veal-Bacon and Leek Casserole: Pearl Barley,Veal-Bacon and Leek Casserole Ingredients: 1 tbsp,olive oil  2 leeks,thickly sliced 2 garlic cloves,finely chopped 300g,pearl barley 4 carrots,cubed 1 tbsp,Dijon mustard,plus extra to serve. 1 I,chicken stock 300g,savoy cabbages,shredded. 200g,lean bacon joint,cooked,chopped into small pieces Direction: Heat a large pan over a medium heat,add the olive oil and cook the leeks for a few mins,then add the garlic and cook for just 1 min more. Add the pearl barley,carrots and mustard,and then pour over the chicken stock.season with plenty of ground black pepper and simmer for 20 mins,stirring occasionally.add the cabbage with the bacon,and cook for 5-10 mins until cabbage is wilted and tender.serve with extra Dijon mustard on the side.

Perfect Tarka Dal: Tarka Dal Ingredients: 1 cup masoor dal (split red lentil). 1/2 teaspoon garlic paste. 1/2 teaspoon chilli flakes. 1/4 teaspoon turmeric. 1 teaspoon paprika. Salt to taste. 1 teaspoon oil. 2 tablespoons coriander. 2 green chillies. Directions: Wash dal and add to a pan with all the ingredients and 2 1/2 cup of water.cook for 20-25 minutes until dal grains are split and dal looks creamy. Add chopped coriander and green chilli.

➧ Oven Fried Chicken: Oven Fried Chicken ➤ Ingredients: 1(2 to 3 pound)whole chicken,cut into pieces. 1 cup dried bread crumbs. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. 1 teaspoon salt. 1 teaspoon ground black pepper. r 1 teaspoon dried thyme. 1/2 teaspoon paprika. 1 cup mayonnaise. ➤ Directions preheat oven to 350 degree F(175 degree C). In a medium bowl or gallon size resealable plastic bag,mix together the bread crumbs,garlic powder,salt pepper,thyme and paprika. Coat the chicken pieces with mayonnaise.place chicken pieces in bowl/bag with bread crumb mixture and coat/shake until well coated.place chicken pieces in a lightly greased 9*13 inch baking dish and bake for 45 minutes or until juices run clear.
